Thank you to all that attended the Annual Meeting on May 19th. For those who were not there, the following is an outline of what happened at the meeting. There were lengthy discussions on each item, much deliberation on the budget, and by that point there was no longer a quorum. Changes have been made to the proposed budget and another congregational meeting has been scheduled for Sunday, June 16 – to vote on that, the Bylaws amendments, and new Trustees. Please read the Bylaws amendments in the meantime if you intend to be a voter and you have not read them yet. The current bylaws are inadequate in many areas, and the MqtUU truly needs some of the Bylaws amendments to move forward with a consulting minister and to foster better relations between Trustees, the staff, and the congregation.
