SUMMARY:UU Yoopers Read Together
DESCRIPTION:Book Discussion Group\n\nA UU book discussion group via Zoom is starting up\, called “UU Yoopers Read Together.” If you are interested in being a part of the group\, please take the following poll so we can collectively choose our first book. Note that all three books are available via Kindle\, audiobook\, and in print forms\, but don’t forget about your local booksellers\, too\, as you may still be able to support them in some way. The poll will be open until Saturday\, April 4th\, at midnight\, find the link HERE\n\nEmail Jamie at jkuehnl@nmu.edu stating your interest to be included in upcoming discussions. My first email to you will be on Sunday\, April 5th\, to share which book we’ve chosen to discuss first. Then\, we’ll meet each Tuesday\, at 7 pm at this ZOOM LINK \nSchedule:\nTuesday\, April 7………7 pm   Meet and Greet\, sharing of favorite books/authors\, a brief intro to our 1st author\nTuesday\, April 14……7 pm   Discuss the first ½ of our 1st chosen book\nTuesday\, April 21……7 pm   Discuss the second ½ of our 1st chosen book\nTuesday\, April 28……7 pm   Discussion of next possible text & discussion leader/s \nDo feel free to share this with other UU friends and family of the UP. We’ll keep our group within those parameters\, though\, so we can easily reference that which we share in common\, like our UU Principles & Sources\, flora\, and fauna of the UP\, our Great Lakes\, etc. If\, after our first meeting\, we feel our group is too small or too big\, we can adjust as we see fit. I really hope that we get some teens and young adults in this group\, too! \nA bit about me…I am a long time member of the Marquette Unitarian Universalist Congregation and have been teaching for Northern Michigan University’s English Department for 16 years and Center for Native American Studies for 7 years.
