SUMMARY:January Full Moon Ritual
DESCRIPTION:Gather with us to celebrate the ascension of the Full Moon at the Unitarian Universalist Meeting Hall located just outside of Marquette. \nRitual will promptly start at 5:30 \nJanuary’s full Wolf moon is in Cancer. Your feeling of safety is now related to your home\, family and related activities such as cooking and gardening. You may be prone to emotional fluctuations; you should learn to forgive and forget in order to avoid depression from thinking too much about things. Your perception of the world can be very subjective; try to create a certain distance without being bitter. Due to your rich emotional manifestation you can create a real sense of belonging in the world. \nThe full Moon names come from Native American groups\, Colonial Americans\, or other traditional North American names passed down through generations. \nThe full Moon for January was called the Full Wolf Moon because wolves were more often heard at this time. It was traditionally thought that they howled due to hunger\, but there is no evidence for this. However\, wolves do tend to howl more often during winter months\, and generally howl to define territory\, locate pack members\, and gather for hunting. \nOther traditional names for the January Moon include: the Cold Moon\, the Old Moon\, and the Great Spirit Moon. \nPlease reach out to an admin if you need a ride or would like to carpool. \nA community donation from each member is requested but not required. Please give what you can\, but please don’t feel obligated to do so or do not attend if you can’t make a donation due to your financial situation. We would rather have you there than not at all. Donations will cover the cost of consumables at each event such as candles\, offerings\, etc. Any extra monies will go to a donation to the UU for use of their facilities and in the long term towards the UP Witches Ball.

The other admins and I\, have been talking about the wonderful and exciting things to come for this amazing group and community\, \nAs we grow and expand\, One of these changes is doing something for the New Moon Rituals so that you may learn and come together for setting your intentions forth. Like the Full Moon Rituals that we put together\, Learning about the New Moon and the energy as it enters each zodiac sign. \nWe will learn how to harness this certain energy\, to incorporate it into your spell work for setting your intentions to the universe. \nLearning how it may influence\, us and the energy as the New Moon falls on different zodiacs. Knowing this information will help you determine your goals and how to use this energy for your manifesting spell workings on your journey. AS the Moon grows so do we and our desires. \nThen two weeks later\, when the Moon is Full\, and we come together for the Full Moon Ritual we can give thanks for what we manifested and conjured into our lives. \nThis New Moon falls in the zodiac sign of Aquarius. This zodiac energy\, Is good for friendship\, freedom\, breaking bad habits\, problem solving\, luck\, Meeting new people and hope to name a few. \nCome and join us as we come together\, stirring the cauldron of desire and transformation\, as we set our intentions and goals forth to the universe.
