DESCRIPTION:Dan Young (He\, him\, his) is a founding member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship\, Bay de Noc. He serves currently as the Member at Large to the Executive Board and is a member of the Advisory Board for MUUSJN—The Michigan UU Social Justice Network. Dan is married to Helen Sherman. All told\, they have three adult children and four Grandchildren. A former Methodist minister\, Dan studied at Central Michigan University\, and Boston University where he earned his Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling and Biblical Studies with Honors\, and his Doctorate in Hebrew Wisdom Literature. During that time\, he was awarded the Charles E. Jefferson Fellowship in Biblical Preaching. After leaving the ministry he worked in sales in the Finance and Insurance industries. Dan is an amateur astronomer\, and an award-winning photographer. He enjoys kayaking on Lake Michigan in the summer in the waters off his property on the Stonington Peninsula.

DESCRIPTION:History\, reflection and music dealing with ways to “own” this most Christian of holidays\, whether or not we believe in the resurrection of Jesus. Included will be a variation on the traditional Unitarian Universalist Flower Communion\, so bring a flower to church if you have one this early in the season\, otherwise there will be flowers available at the meeting house. \nMasks are encouraged at individual discretion for in-person attendance. DESCRIPTION:Bay de Noc leads a Triangle service today (Our Triangle = Petoskey\, Bay de Noc\, and Marquette UU’s). The UUA is considering an 8th principle that calls us to journey toward spiritual wholeness by dismantling racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions. \nTriangle services are largely via Zoom\, with the option to participate from the meeting house.
