DESCRIPTION:“For All Our Dads\n– A Father’s Day Tribute to Fathers and Father Figures”\n\nPresenter:  February Sky (Phil Cooper & Susan Urban\n\nBoth men and women seem to have an innate need for nurturing from males as well as females.  If someone’s biological father is absent or unavailable\, they will often seek out other men to fill the “Dad Gap.”  These surrogate fathers can be as important to a person’s development as “real” fathers.  We will celebrate both types of father figures\, and also reflect on what can happen when a father is distant or emotionally unavailable.

SUMMARY:Special Business Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Thank you to all that attended the Annual Meeting on May 19th. For those who were not there\, the following is an outline of what happened at the meeting. There were lengthy discussions on each item\, much deliberation on the budget\, and by that point there was no longer a quorum. Changes have been made to the proposed budget and another congregational meeting has been scheduled for Sunday\, June 16 – to vote on that\, the Bylaws amendments\, and new Trustees. Please read the Bylaws amendments in the meantime if you intend to be a voter and you have not read them yet. The current bylaws are inadequate in many areas\, and the MqtUU truly needs some of the Bylaws amendments to move forward with a consulting minister and to foster better relations between Trustees\, the staff\, and the congregation.
