As a responsible faith community, we want to become informed so as to understand, converse, and act with a solid background and foundation. A three-part series of four workshops each, following three (UU, Episcopal, and Presbyterian) study guides, will take place in November, January, and April.

Marquette Senior High School presents:untitled

Our own Maitri White will be performing in the MSHS Production of Irving Berlin’s Annie Get Your Gun. Performances will run November 6-8, 2014 in Kaufman Auditorium. All performances start at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at all NMU ticket outlets, online or by phone at 906-227-1032.

FROM NMU: The Native American Student Association will host the 14th Annual First Nations Food Taster, Friday, November 7, 5 – 7 p.m. D.J. Jacobetti Complex on NMU campus. Join us for a taste of traditional and contemporary Indigenous foods from the Great Lakes region. Much of our menu choices have been incorporated from the Decolonizing Diet Project, such as bison stew, bison/venison meatloaf, sunbutter cookies, and pumpkin cornbread. Other options come from a contemporary recipe such as the three sisters casserole.Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Center for Native American Studies, 112 Whitman Hall.

FOR QUICK CLEANUP…When activities are held at the Meeting House, just like any house, sometimes messes are made. There is a Sweeper available in the Utility Closet near the water fountain. The Sweeper is a manual for use by little hands as well as big hands! Thank you!
